Testing labs

Peptide testing labs, compared on what we could verify

The 10 labs named on the certificates of analysis (COAs) published by the vendors we track, checked on Oct 16, 2026: who runs them, whether they are accredited, what they test, what they charge and how to check a COA. Every fact links to its source.

Two of the 10 labs hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation we could verify, and neither certificate covers peptide testing. ILS Laboratories (scope: cannabis and hemp [source]) and Ethos Analytics (scope: supplements and cosmetics [source]). Vanguard Laboratory is listed in A2LA's directory, but its certificate's scope could not be viewed. We found no accreditation for the other 7, in the A2LA, IAS and PJLA directories (and the Czech Accreditation Institute's, for Janoshik).

Two labs list a fee for issuing a COA under an additional company name, Freedom Diagnostics ($50) and ILS Laboratories ($100), so the same test can appear on more than one brand's COA.

An accreditation covers only the products and tests on its certificate, called its scope; ILS's own Terms say other testing may be done under its quality system without being represented as within the accredited scope (ILS Terms). Accreditation is one signal; how a lab lets you check a COA is another.

Vendors naming it: how many of the vendors we track name the lab on the COAs they publish. Finnrick is a ratings platform that sends samples to partner labs, so it holds no accreditation of its own. SGS, a large international testing company, is named on one vendor's COAs and was not researched further.

Peptide testing labs: questions people ask

Is Janoshik accredited?

We found no accreditation for Janoshik Analytical: it was not in the directories of the Czech Accreditation Institute, A2LA, IAS or PJLA when we searched on Oct 16, 2026. Its own website blocked our checks, so we couldn't see whether it claims one. See the Janoshik Analytical profile.

Which peptide testing labs are ISO 17025 accredited?

Of the 10 labs named on the vendors' COAs we track, ILS Laboratories and Ethos Analytics hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation we could check on the accreditation body's own certificate, and neither certificate's scope lists peptide testing. Vanguard Laboratory is listed by A2LA, but its certificate's scope could not be viewed. We found none for the other 7.

How much does it cost to test a peptide?

For a single peptide, a basic identity, purity and quantity test costs $180 to $400 a sample at the labs that publish prices, depending on the lab and the compound; blends cost more, up to $800. See Freedom Diagnostics, Chromate, ILS Laboratories, TrustPointe Analytics and Horizon Analytical. Finnrick, which sends samples to partner labs, lists custom testing from $69 a sample and free community testing whose results it publishes. Endotoxin, sterility and heavy-metal tests usually cost extra.

Can I send a peptide sample to a lab myself?

Some labs say they test for individuals: Freedom Diagnostics, Chromate, MZ Biolabs, Janoshik Analytical and Finnrick, according to their own pages or, for Janoshik, press reports. Others serve businesses, and Kovera Labs says submission is currently open to approved partners only. Each profile quotes what the lab says.
