The peptide COA census: every certificate we could read, vendor by vendor

On Oct 17, 2026 we read every certificate of analysis (COA) we could find on the COA pages of 87 vendors we track: 2,152 documents naming 30 labs. For each we recorded the lab, the compound, the lot, the dates and the results as printed, then followed the code or address printed on it to the lab's own lookup. Every row links to the vendor's copy.

17% of the certificates come from a lab whose accreditation we could confirm, and 0% from a lab accredited for peptide testing. The most-named labs are Freedom Diagnostics (660), ILS Laboratories (227) and Kovera Labs (145). 201 certificates (9%) name a lab we found no trace of, a name that isn't a lab, or a lab tied to a vendor. What each verdict rests on.

1,881 certificates (87%) print a lot number, which is what ties a report to the vial in your hand. 1,743 (81%) print a way to check them with the lab. We followed it on 979: 961 matched the lab's own copy, 15 differed, 3 were not found at the lab. 578 couldn't be checked by us, because the lab's lookup needs a browser, an account or a form.

13 vendors blocked our requests and were not read: AIO Peptides, Cernum Biosciences, Certified Peptides, Core Research Peptides, Eros Peptides, Evolve BioPep, GenPeptide, Kimera Chems, Legendary Peptides, Paramount Peptides, Peptides Warehouse, Sports Technology Labs and Xcel Peptides. 21 vendors had a COA page with no certificate we could read: Aavant Peptides, Ameano Peptides, Amino Asylum (aminoasylumofficial.com), Biotech Peptides, Bulk Peptide Wholesale, Instant Peptides, International Peptides, Limitless Biotech, Linux Peptides, Modern Aminos, NextChems, Oasis Labs, Oath Research, Peptide Crafters, Peptide Maxxing, Polar Peptides, Rescue Research USA, Rhome Research, Simple Peptide, Void Research and Voltera Sciences.

Worth a look

Observations from reading the documents, not conclusions. A lab can print a figure wrongly, a vendor can re-save a file, two vendors can share a supplier, and a mass can fit more than one compound. Each links to the document; the vendor's page has the full row.

Which labs issue the most peptide COAs?

Of the 2,152 certificates we read on 87 vendors' sites, the most came from Freedom Diagnostics (660, named by 27 vendors), ILS Laboratories (227, named by 12 vendors) and Kovera Labs (145, named by 11 vendors). Whether each lab is real and accredited, and for what: every lab name checked.

How many peptide COAs can be verified with the lab?

1,743 of the 2,152 certificates print a code, key or address for checking them with the lab (81%). We followed it on 979: 961 matched the lab's copy, 15 differed, 3 were not found at the lab. 578 couldn't be checked by us because the lab's lookup needs a browser, an account or a form. How many peptide COAs come from accredited labs?

369 of 2,152 (17%) name a lab whose ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation we confirmed with the accreditation body, and 7 (0%) name a lab whose accreditation scope covers peptide testing. An accreditation for cannabis or supplement testing says nothing about peptides. 201 name a lab we could find no trace of, a name that is not a lab, or a lab tied to a vendor.

Does a COA on a vendor’s site prove the product is good?

No. A certificate describes one sample the lab received, for the lot printed on it. Check that the lot matches your vial, look the report up at the lab's own website, and read the client line: the sample may have been sent by a supplier or another seller. 271 of the certificates we read print no lot number at all. How was the census done?

On Oct 17, 2026 we fetched each vendor's COA page with plain web requests, following its robots.txt, collected every linked certificate (up to 60 per vendor, newest first), read the text of each (or ran character recognition on images), and recorded the lab, compound, lot, dates and results as printed. Where the certificate printed a code or address for checking it, we followed that exactly as printed to the lab's own lookup. Vendors whose sites blocked automated requests were not read.
